The South African government has expressed its approval of the provisional measures imposed on Israel by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), declaring the Court's decision a significant victory for the rule of law and a crucial step towards seeking justice for the Palestinian people, as reported by Cairo News Channel in a breaking news segment.

The Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7th, has resulted in thousands of casualties and injuries, along with extensive destruction of buildings and infrastructure.

The healthcare system in Gaza is in an extremely dire state, from the nearly collapsed ambulance service to the majority of hospitals in Gaza and its northern regions being invaded by occupying forces, with medical staff, displaced individuals, patients, and the injured facing severe mistreatment.

The South African government's statement underscores the international community's increasing concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the urgent need for justice and accountability in accordance with international law.
