President Abdel Fattah El Sisi wished a speedy recovery to French President Emmanuel Macron who tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Wednesday.
"My sincere best wishes for a speedy recovery of President Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, who is strongly leading his country in the face of the novel coronavirus pandemic crisis," Sisi tweeted Wednesday.
He stressed, "I confirm Egypt's support for France's efforts to work to limit the spread of the virus, and I stress the need for the international community to unite in confronting this epidemic."
"May God protects all People of the world," Sisi added.
The Elysee released a statement stating that the French president tests positive for the Covid-19.
“In accordance with current health regulations applicable to all, the president will isolate himself for 7 days. He will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely,” the statement read.
