According to Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shenawy, the two leaders reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations between Egypt and the United Kingdom and their mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, particularly in economics and investment.
Prime Minister Starmer conveyed his anticipation of President El-Sisi’s visit to London following an invitation extended by King Charles III. In response, President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s invitation for the British Prime Minister to visit Cairo later this year.
During the call, both leaders welcomed the de-escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran, stressing the importance of adhering to the ceasefire and prioritizing peaceful dialogue over military solutions to preserve regional stability and protect the interests of their respective populations.
