President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree No.31 of 2021, renewing the appointment of Khairat Mohamed Sayed Ahmed Barakat as head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) for one year as of February 14, 2021.
He was given the rank of a minister.
The decree was published in the official gazette on Thursday.
Major General Barakat held various positions, including, Adviser to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the former Director of Officer Affairs in the Armed Forces.
