President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Wednesday that the state, political leadership and people abide by the rule of law and reject all forms of corruption practices.

"Sisi made his statements on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which aims to raise public awareness for anti-corruption practices," Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Sisi also asserted that the state aims to establish deeply-rooted values of integrity and transparency, noting that all citizens are on equal footing under the law.

The president reiterated that such a strategy has been adopted by the state since the launching of development plans as a main pillar of wise leadership for having a better homeland.

He also lauded great efforts exerted by state-run institutions to fight corruption, urging them to adopt more strategies on this score to protect the gains of homeland and Egyptian people.
