President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted the Egyptian people and the national football team following a stunning performance in the delayed African Cup of Nations (AFCON2021).
"I would like to extend my greetings and appreciation to the players of our national football team for their high performance in the African Cup of Nations," Sisi tweeted on Sunday.
He added that "the national squad has done their best and gained the respect of everyone."
"You have been trustworthy, and you have honored your country. We are all confident that you will make up for this title and make the Egyptians happy by ascending to the World Cup."
