President Abdel Fattah El Sisi confirmed Egypt's appreciation to India as one of the most ancient nations in the world, and for its great contributions in all fields.
During his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Subramyam Jaishankar, on Sunday, Sisi said that Egypt appreciates the fruitful cooperation process between the two countries. He added that Egypt looks forward to exchanging experiences in the fields of sustainable development, especially with regard to information technology.
According to Presidency Spokesman Bassam Raady, Sisi asked to convey his greetings to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising the “historic relations between the two countries.”

On his part, Jaishankar conveyed a message from the Prime Minister of India expressing the Indian side's pride in the depth of the relations that unite the two friendly countries and peoples.
He confirmed that India s looking forward to exploring new horizons for fruitful cooperation between Egypt and India.
Jaishankar added that the Indian-Egyptian strategic partnership, especially in light of the fact that Egypt represents a pillar of stability in the Middle East and Africa.
The Indian foreign minister praised the huge developmental achievements that Egypt witnessed during the past years at various levels, under the wise leadership and insightful vision of the President.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation frameworks between the two countries in a number of fields in line with the status and capabilities of the two countries and meet the aspirations of their two friendly peoples, especially in terms of joint industrialization and the exchange of experiences in the military field.
It also reviewed the latest developments regarding situations of common interest at the international and regional levels, especially with regard to the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis on the energy, food and economy sectors.
