On Saturday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to discuss the escalating tensions in the Middle East, amid growing concerns over the ongoing confrontation between Israel and Iran.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shenawy, the two leaders voiced deep concern over the potential expansion of the conflict, warning of severe repercussions for the entire region. Both emphasized the urgent need for restraint, diplomatic resolution, and a renewed commitment from the international community to defuse the crisis.

President El-Sisi and King Hamad stressed that the current escalation is fundamentally tied to the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip. They called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and warned of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe facing its population.

Both leaders underscored the urgent need for unimpeded humanitarian aid to reach Gaza and reaffirmed that a lasting solution requires the establishment of a Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
