Sisi: Justice Tops Human Values, Foundation for Societies’ Stability

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Monday the Arab and African public prosecutors taking part in the international conference organized by the Egyptian Public Prosecution on the role of public prosecution authorities in combating transnational crimes.

Egypt's Public Prosecutor Chancellor Hamada al-Sawy attended the meeting, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

"The President welcomed the public prosecutors from countries participating in the conference. He underscored the state’s support to Public Prosecution and various judicial authorities in Egypt, as the rule of law is the basis for the ruling," said Rady.

Sisi also noted the importance of justice as the highest of human values and the foundation for societies’ stability; and hence the keenness to reinforce the principle of judicial independence and non-interference in the course of its work.

The President reviewed Egypt’s integrated vision within the framework of cross-border cooperation among countries.

The vision is based on respecting differences of cultures, customs, traditions and values of peoples and nations. This requires a full understanding of this issue to absorb social, economic, and cultural persity and provide sufficient space for understanding and exchanging experiences.

Sisi also pointed out the importance of the current conference, organized by the Egyptian Public Prosecution, on means to enhance international cooperation in combating transnational crimes.

This topic is considered one of the most important challenges facing the world currently, especially with the multiple regional and international crises and the main role of terrorism in igniting them.

"This conference is the first of its kind to bring Arab and African public prosecutors together, and hence contributes to the integration and communication among public prosecutions authorities in a manner that enhances the mechanism of international judicial cooperation," the spokesperson noted.

Sisi affirmed the important role played by the Africa Prosecutors Association (APA) and the Arab Association for Prosecutors (AAP) in working to enhance the capacity of the prosecution authorities and build their capacity at the regional level.

The spokesperson added that the Public Prosecutor thanked Sisi for holding the conference under his patronage and confirmed that the public prosecution’s initiative to hold this important event demonstrates Egypt’s pivotal role at the regional level, particularly in the judiciary and legal fields.

"This is in order to find a joint Arab-Africa backer to counter crimes that threaten all peoples and to help realize the desired goal by establishing swift justice, which is fundamental for the stability of countries and safeguarding their sovereignty," he added.

The attendees lauded the significant development leap made in Egypt, under the President’s leadership, whom they experienced firsthand during their site visits to various national projects, especially the New Administrative Capital.
