In Pics: Sisi Inspects World's Largest Solar Power Plant in Aswan

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi conducted an inspection tour inside the Benban Solar Energy Complex in Aswan where he listened to a detailed explanation of the work of this huge complex, as it is the largest solar power plant in the world.

It was established in partnership with the private sector and specialized international expertise, as it is one of the most important infrastructure projects in Egypt to generate electricity from new and renewable energy.

Sisi stressed that the electricity sector witnessed hard conditions before starting to fully develop it. He noted that investments in Upper Egypt during the last period exceeded one trillion and LE 100 billion."
