President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Wednesday with Major General Ehab El-Far, Chairman of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces to follow up on “The Future of Egypt” Project.
“President Sisi followed-up on "The Future of Egypt" Project which aims to increase the agricultural area of Egypt by 500 thousand feddans along the Dabaa axis to the north,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Rady added that the president was briefed on the developments of the current and future stages of the project, as well as the provision of irrigation water and the financial cost.
In this context, Sisi stressed the importance of partnership with investors from the private sector, so that this gigantic project becomes an added value to the series of national projects in the field of agricultural production, food and land reclamation.
“This project contributes to the state’s strategy for construction and development by increasing the percentage of agricultural lands, providing more job opportunities, and then achieving the desired economic and development growth for the benefit of current and future generations,” the spokesperson noted.
The meeting was attended also by Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Commander of the Air Force, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Adviser to the President for Urban Planning, Major General Mohamed Amin, Adviser to the President for Financial Affairs, Major General Ahmed El-Shazly, Chairman Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces, and Major Pilot Bahaa Al-Din Al-Ghanem.
