Sisi Calls for Stepping up Anti-COVID-19 Awareness Campaigns

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted on Saturday the need to draw lessons from Egypt's experience in combating COVID-19 ever since the start of the pandemic outbreak, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

During his meeting with Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Sisi reviewed the state's anti-coronavirus efforts and preparations for a potential second wave.

Sisi called for promoting anti-coronavirus awareness campaigns nationwide in cooperation with the bodies concerned ahead of the new school year.

Meanwhile, Tag El-Din posted the president on the latest coronavirus situation as well as the state's effective efforts to cope with with the virus by improving hospital services, launching mobile clinics, applying isolation and coexistence measures and updating the treatment protocol regularly.

He also shed light on national research efforts to produce effective COVID-19 vaccines
