Egypt’s foreign minister Sameh Shoukry said on Monday: “we have a common vision with Jordan regarding achieving comprehensive peace,” stressing that the reconstruction of Gaza is a priority.
in a press conference with his Jordanian counterpart, shoukry added that Egypt has announced a major reconstruction project in Gaza, noting that at the current stage there is great interest in supporting the brothers in Gaza.
“President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced an initiative of $500 mln for reconstruction process, which will take place through the mechanisms that we will put in place in coordination with the Palestinian Authority and the brothers in Gaza so that we contribute to improving the living condition”, Shoukry said pointing out to Egypt’s keen on working to improve the Palestinian economic situation and end the conflict.
The foreign minister said: “We are coordinating with Jordan to provide the basic needs for the Palestinian people. "
