The Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reiterated Egypt's call for an humanitarian immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Shoukry made his remarks during a joint press conference with his Saudi counterpart.
Shoukry emphasized the importance of allowing the United Nations to deliver vital equipment to support aid crossing to Gaza Strip.
In addition, Shoukry and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, expressed their full support for Somalia and affirmed the need to respect its sovereignty and territory.
On Friday, Egypt welcomed the ICJ’s decision to consider the preliminary jurisdiction of Israel to commit the crime of genocide in Gaza and to demand the implementation of several immediate interim measures to protect the Palestinians.
It also expressed its hope that the ICJ would call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, as it has done in similar cases, as the main guarantee for the implementation of the necessary and urgent measures approved by it to protect Palestinian civilians in the strip.
