Sherine Soliman: June 30 is the real revolution that saved Egypt

TV presenter Sherine Soliman expressed her extreme pride in the June 30 Revolution, stressing that she felt overjoyed on the day of the revolution and held celebrations with her friends and family.

In a statement to 'Al Dostor', Sherine said that she and all her family members signed the Tamarod petition, revealing that the first person to sign the petition was her mother.

She added: “I had a feeling that Egypt had been kidnapped and then we restored it,” noting that she was against the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood, stressing:" it was like a nightmare for me".

Soliman expressed her fear at the time of the Muslim Brotherhood’s rule, saying: “I was crying with every speech by Morsi, crying over my country. But God saved us and Egypt get rid of a difficult era, and for me, June 30 revolution is the real one.”

She concluded: “For me, my role was outside Egypt, I used to see foreigners or Arab art makers, especially foreigners, I was talking to them and explain the situation in Egypt with videos and pictures, and that June 30 revolution is a people’s revolution.”
