The 22-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes, along with his girlfriend and former member of Fifth Harmony Camila Cabello announced the release of their new Christmas song a few hours ago in their official Instagram accounts.
“This has been such a crazy year with so many challenges. This holiday season, it is more important than ever to spread love and kindness to everyone!,” Cabello wrote in her post’s caption before continuing, “Shawn and I wanted to send all our love to you amazing humans so we put together something special for you.”
The couple released their own rendition of “The Christmas Song” and announced that all the proceeds from the song will be donated to “Feeding America” to help all the people in need during the holiday season. They also decided to kick off the donations and give 100 thousand dollars to the non-profit organization.
“It would make our holidays if you went on their website and donated to one of their sectors and help out your community!,” Cabello said regarding “Feeding America” before adding, “They have sectors all over the nation. Let’s make our little corner of the world more beautiful today.”
It is worth mentioning that Mendes also released the holiday deluxe version of his 4th studio album “WONDER” today, Saturday, December 5th.
“Wanted to give you guys a few surprise songs for the holiday. #WONDER holiday deluxe out now,” the young singer wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.
