Egypt’s Education Minister Tarek Shawki announced the details of the education plan for 2020\2021, amid Coronavirus pandemic.
In a press conference held on Tuesday, the minister said that the international schools will start next September 15th, and the national schools will start next October 17th.
Regarding reduced-attendance plan for the new academic year, the minister revealed that educational system will mainly depend on online platforms, adding that students from Kindergarten to grade three will attend from 3 to 4 days per week, while preparatory and secondary school students will attend only two days a week.
Shawki also added that "Thanaweya Amma" system will depend on MCQs without human intervention.
"Score improvement will be back in "Thanaweya Amma", the minister noted.
