Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant met with Gen. Michael Eric Korella, Commander of the US Central Commandment, to discuss security challenges in the Mideast region.
Hebrew media outlets revealed that today’s meeting between the senior security officials from the United States of America (USA), and Israel touched on security coordination between the two countries to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
The officials also discussed Iran’s escalating activities in the Middle East which include training, funding, weapons transfer to the armed groups in both Syria and Lebanon along with taking over ships in the Strait of Hurmuz in the Arab Gulf.
The Israeli Defence Ministry explained, over a statement released today, Thursday, that Gallant affirmed to Korella continuity of the military, security, and technical cooperation to face the increasing threats in the region.
