A Scottish government spokesman said that Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon will travel to Sharm el-Sheikh next month for the COP27 climate summit.
Sturgeon was one of the most prominent participants in COP26 in Glasgow last year, where she met world leaders and climate activists, according to the Scottish newspaper, "Scotsman".
The spokesperson said: "Due to the vital importance of governments working together to tackle climate change, the minister intends to attend COP27."
Speaking to reporters during a visit to a South London hospital on Friday, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said: " It is important to me, as Prime Minister, to leave a better environment for our children and grandchildren. ".
