Authorities in Belgium announced today, Monday, the closure of dozens of schools in Brussels and the Brabant region following a bomb threat.
According to the Reuters news agency, the Walloon-Brussels Education Department confirmed on its website that many Belgian schools in Brussels and the Brabant region will remain closed today, Monday, following a late-night bomb threat on Sunday.
Police are inspecting the 27 schools decided to be closed by the department "in strict implementation of the precautionary principle," with more information expected to be disclosed throughout the day.
