German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Washington in February to have a meeting with the US President Joe Biden.
Both leaders are expected to discuss additional support and aid to Ukraine. Sources told Bloomberg that the meeting is planned to take place at the White House during the second week of February.
In the same context, the EU is organizing a special summit next week to agree on an additional €50 billion package of support for Kyiv.
Scholz called on European countries to increase their support to Ukraine, amid concerns over the US's ability to continue aiding Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed that he was confident that the US Congress would approve the aid for Ukraine.
