On Wednesday, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will host the first Gulf summit with Central Asian countries known as the "C5 Stan" countries in Jeddah.
The summit is held in the presence of leaders and representatives of the six Arab Gulf Cooperation Council countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, leaders and representatives.
Leaders of the five Central Asian countries, namely Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan attend today's summit.
The Gulf-Central Asian summit deals with issues of cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, investment, energy, education, scientific research, industry, agriculture, tourism, and culture.
The summit touches also discussing several regional and international issues of common interest, including support for stability and strengthening the foundations of security in the Gulf and Central Asia, the Palestinian cause, Islamic solidarity, and confronting Extremism, terrorism, Islamophobia, and other issues.
