Saudi Arabia Issues 7.5 Million Umrah Visas

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued more than 7.5 million Umrah visas until Ramadan 25.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, 7.584 million visas were issued so far.

The number of arrivals to the Kingdom will be estimated at 7.201 million pilgrims, while the number of existing ones reached 1.056 million.

Data registered the departure of 6.145 million pilgrims after performing Umrah.

Pakistan topped the list of pilgrims with more than 1,590 million visitors, followed by Indonesia with 946.962.

India came in the third spot with 643.563 pilgrims, while Egypt settled at the fourth spot with about 535,861 travelers.

Algeria was ranked fifth among the most visiting countries with 364,707 pilgrims.

Umrah is an Islamic pilgrimage performed by Muslims in Mecca. Unlike Ḥajj, which holds specific dates, it can be performed at any time of the year.
