Saudi Arabia secured a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Arab Cup after defeating Palestine 2–1 in an intense quarter-final clash at Lusail Stadium. The dramatic match, which extended into extra time, kept fans on edge until the decisive goal in the 114th minute.
Firas Al-Buraikan opened the scoring for Saudi Arabia in the 57th minute, giving the Green Falcons the lead. Just five minutes later, Palestine responded through Zamalek striker Oday Dabbagh, who brought the match level with a well-placed finish in the 62nd minute.
With both sides pushing for a winner, the match proceeded into extra time, where Saudi midfielder Mohammed Kanno struck in the 114th minute to seal victory and send his team into the semi-final stage.
Saudi Arabia will now await the winner of tomorrow’s quarter-final between Iraq and Jordan to determine their opponent in the last four of the tournament.
