Satellite images have revealed a "climate catastrophe" across Europe, with snow-covered mountaintops and hilltops almost going white every January.

The wave of warming in the world led to the melting of snow over the heights of Europe, which heralds devastating environmental effects and also leads to great disappointment among ski resorts and tourists who hope to spend a winter vacation and enjoy nature, or practice their favorite sport.

Instead of the bright white color, the images spotted brown patches of rocks and mud

Europe witnessed a warm air wave coming from the south, which exacerbated global warming.

Meteorological agencies have reported "record" temperatures recorded in Europe at the beginning of this year.

In Delmont, in northern Switzerland, for example, a record temperature of 18.1 Celsius was observed on January 1, an increase of two and a half degrees from the previous record.

In Warsaw, the capital of Poland, a temperature of 18.9 degrees Celsius was recorded on the first day of the new year as well, 4 degrees higher than the previous record.
