On Friday, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian King, commented on the failure of the English club to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Salah tweeted: "I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed."
The Egyptian King added: "We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down."
Liverpool failed to capture any title for the 2022/2023 season, in addition, the team came fifth on the table of the Premier League.
Manchester United managed to get the final ticket to the Champions League, after Manchester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle United which reached the prestigious European competition for the first time in 20 years.
