Salah among Nominees for Uefa 'Team of the Year 2019'

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been chosen among the 50-man shortlist, who were nominated for the Uefa ''Team of the Year 2019.''

The team will be chosen through a vote on Uefa's official website, and the best team will be announced on January 9.

The shortlist also witnessed the presence of Barcelona's star Lionel Messi and Juventus' star iconic star Cristiano Ronaldo.

On November 24, the 27-year-old was selected among the nominees for the ‘'African Player of the Year’' Award.

Noteworthy, Salah scooped the award last season after an intense competition with the Senegalese Sadio Mane and the Gabon International Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Earlier this month, Time Magazine nominated  Salah for “Time’s Person of the Year for 2019” Award on Sunday.

The winner will be decided through a vote on the Magazine’s official website and will be announced on December 11. Time hailed the iconic Egyptian star, describing him as “a better human being than he is a football player.

Salah has delivered an excellent performance since he joined the Reds, as he guided them to claim the Uefa Champions League title after securing a 2-0 victory over Tottenham.

He also led his club to made an ideal start to this current season by lifting the Uefa Super Cup after defeating their premier League rival Chelsea 5-4 on penalties.
