Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds revealed Saturday that Disney had officially asked for a "Free Guy" sequel.
hE shared on Twitter that "After 3 years messaging [Free Guy] as an original IP movie, Disney confirmed today that they officially want a sequel."
The news was followed by a celebratory "Woo hoo!! #irony" caption along with a GIF of his "Free Guy" co-star Taika Waititi's "Albuquerque boiled turkey" line from the movie.

The original movie was directed by Shawn Levy and written by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn. It also starred Waititi, Channing Tatum, Joe Keery, Jodie Comer, and others.
The plot centers around a bank teller Guy (Reynolds), who discovers one day that he is a background character in a game entitled “Free City”, which will soon be taken offline.
