Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stressed on Monday, that NATO should be under no illusion that Russia would accept the membership of Sweden and Finland.
"We are conducting a comprehensive analysis of the situation. The situation has certainly changed radically in light of developments," he told reporters, according to the Russian news agency "TASS".
"All this (situation around NATO membership for Sweden and Finland) reflects a completely wrong and distorted perception of what is happening in the world," Ryabkov added.
Moreover, he warned that "Brussels, Washington, and other NATO capitals should be under no illusions," adding, "This would be another huge mistake with far-reaching consequences," he concluded.
