Russia Starts Clinical Trials of 3rd Coronavirus Vaccine

Russia is starting clinical trials of its third vaccine against the Covid-19 virus, with tests to begin on July. The 1st Vice President of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency Tatyana Yakovleva, reported that clinical studies of the vaccine developed by the agency will begin on July.

Noteworthy, the two vaccines were registered by the Russian Federation Health Ministry, and the 1st vaccine in the world to prevent COVID-19, manufactured by the "Gamalia" Electrochemistry Research Center, known as "Sputnik V".

Also, it developed the "Victor" Center of "Ros Potrip Nadzor" (Russian Consumer Protection Agency) "EpiVacCorona" vaccine. The two vaccines have already started to be supplied to the regions for the vaccination campaign.

Later, the Health Minister Mikhail Murashko reported that the acquired immunity for Covid-19 patients continues from 7 to 8 months.
