Scientists of Krasnoyarsk in Russia invented an artificial hybrid protein to detect rapidly the signs of cancer.
“Krasnoyarsk scientists have invented new artificial hybrid proteins able to detect the signs of leukemia and send a luminous signal. This system of tests promises for diagnosing cancer with high accuracy,” Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center affiliated with the Russian Academy for Science in Siberia mentioned.
According to researchers, these proteins are stable and active. Moreover, they retain their characteristics for 6 months if stored frozen or in solution. They do not lose more than 10-15% of its activity.
These proteins could be the basis of testing systems for diagnosing leukemia. The tests could be conducted in one stage, which reduces the cost of the test, according to the researchers.
