A Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drone targeted Atbara Airport in Sudan, according to breaking news reported by Cairo News Channel.
In a related development, the humanitarian crisis continues to escalate in the country. Four individuals succumbed to starvation on Wednesday in Dar Al-Salam, west of Omdurman, due to a severe shortage of food and medical supplies.
The RSF has maintained control over the Dar Al-Salam administrative unit in Ombada locality since the early days of the conflict. The area has faced critical shortages in essential supplies after most of its markets were looted and destroyed.
A spokesperson for the Dar Al-Salam Emergency Committee told Sudan Tribune that "the committee recorded four cases of starvation-related deaths in the Al-Qamayir area, Block 24."
The spokesperson also highlighted the shutdown of free food kitchens about a week ago due to a lack of financial support, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis and increasing the suffering of Sudanese citizens.
