Local French reports indicated that President Emmanuel Macron changed the state's sacred symbol's, flag, blue color from the light and bright Navy Blue to a darker and sharper degree of the same color, media agencies cited on Tuesday.
Although the flag's color change appeared last year at one of the presidential spots, the news of such color change decision was transformed to the public yesterday, after French officials told reports.
Regarding the motives behind such a decision, reports added that Macron aimed to get the usage of the darker navy blue shade once again as it was the essential symbol of the French Revolution.
Both colors were used over decades as the French navy and major institutions always have this dark navy blue, before, President Giscard d'Estaing introduced the lighter share to match the colors of European flags in 1976.
Until this moment, The Élysée Palace did not announce any flag color change, and no orders were imposed to change the flags over institutions!
