The Presidential Leadership Program (PLP) for qualifying youth announced the opening of applications for a new batch of trainees in the Presidential Program through its official pages on social media.

The first batch of the PLP was launched in 2016 in conjunction with the Year of Youth, at the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi; three batches of the presidential program have graduated so far.

The presidential program aims to qualify young people for leadership and create a youth base of competencies capable of taking on administrative and societal responsibility in the country. They qualified and were versed with the latest management theories, practical and scientific planning.

The PLP also seeks to test their abilities to apply modern methods with high efficiency to form a real nucleus of a society that thinks, learns and innovates.

Graduates of the presidential program from the previous batches have succeeded in achieving tangible achievements on the ground in the various state institutions. Hence, the political leadership has adopted many of their proposals.

They have been converted into real projects, the most prominent of which is the establishment of the National Training Academy, which came on the recommendation of the youth of the presidential program in the National Youth Conference and was ratified from President Sisi at the conference.

The program’s youth played a major role in a number of initiatives and projects (organizing national youth conferences – the three editions of the World Youth Forum, leading to the organization of the fourth edition next January – the Arab-African Youth Forum) in addition to the national project “A Decent Life."

It is worth noting that many of the youth of the PLP take up some positions in the state, such as members of the Senate - members of the House of Representatives - governors - deputy governors - assistants and deputies to ministers and governors and other positions in government and private bodies and sectors, which contributed to pumping new blood into the state administrative artery.

The conditions for joining the program include that the applicant should be between 20 and 30 years old, and that he/she submits the required documents, including (national number, educational certificates, position on recruitment, criminal status sheet), provided that the application is via the program’s website, then the results of those accepted will be announced at the registration stage.

Then, setting a date for conducting tests (Arabic language, general culture, English language, psychological and personal characteristics) and other interviews until the results appear with the names of those accepted.

It is reported that the study in the presidential program lasts for 8 months. Everyone can apply for the program via the program’s website: https://plp.eg/
