Real Madrid Donate $1 Million to Flood Victims in Spain

On Thursday, Real Madrid announced that it will donate €1 million to the victims of the floods that hit Span's Valencia.

The funds will be sent through a donation campaign launched by the Real Madrid Foundation and the Red Cross, according to the Royal club.

The funds "will go towards helping the numerous families currently dealing with what is a critical situation, and who are in need of all our assistance and solidarity," the club said.

"The Real Madrid Foundation and the Red Cross have today launched a fundraising campaign to support those affected by the storm and the club have decide to support this campaign with a donation of one million euros to help the many families who are in a critical situation and need all our help and solidarity," the statement added.

Floods killed at least 155 people in Valencia. In addition, there were three more victims in Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha.

Dozens of people are still missing.
