Rare Photos of Fairuz Goes Viral

Social media users circulated Sunday rare black and white photos of Iconic Lebanese singer, Fairuz.

The photos date back to 1971 taken on Fairuz's trip to the United States of America.

The users described the photos as spontaneous and simple, especially since, it came at a time where everyone was tired of the news related to the Coronavirus.

Recently, the iconic Lebanese singer made headlines after it was claimed that she had contracted the deadly virus.

In a statement, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) denied the news, stating that WhatsApp groups are circulating false statements attributed to Hamad Hassan, the Minister of Health in the caretaker government on the singer's infection with the virus.

NNA noted that the rumor promoter claimed that Rima confirmed her mother’s infection, revealing that Fairuz is fine and has only experienced the usual symptoms, and she has started the home-isolation measures.

The agency added: “This news is completely baseless and the NNA has nothing to do with it.”
