Egyptian-American stand-up comedy and actor Ramy Youssif is set to shoot the third season of the comedy-drama streaming television series 'Ramy' around the United States.

In the same context, Youssif is set as a lead opposite of two-time Oscar-winning actor Ali as Sheikh Ali and Hiam Abbass in 'Ramy' upcoming original series from Hulu media network.

The social drama was also created by Youssif. Based on Youssif's experience as Arab and Muslim emigrant grown up in US, it’s described as a dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind — and what lies beyond.

Indeed, Fans of the award-winning sires are curious to know how much story there’s left to tell about a young Muslim young man named Ramy who’s navigating life, faith, and family as best he can.

According to the talented Egyptian star, Youssif prevailed: "We’re in the middle of writing and we’re really focusing on just how amazing the characters that we have built into our cast are."

Since the series premiered on Hulu popular American TV network in April 2019, the comedy-drama has drawn stereotyping reviews for the handling of its titular character’s quest to find his place as a first-generation Egyptian-American.

The main character of the renowned series is Ramy who is the son of immigrant parents whose life and understanding of the world are sharply different from their own. It’s a reality that has left him feeling lost and seeking a place for himself to fit.

It’s worth mentioning that Ramy series won several awards as well, such as the Peabody Award, the Audience Award at the SXSW Film Festival, and the Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Authentic Representation.
