The National Research Institute of Astronomy & Geophysics (NRIAG) Director Gad El Kady said that Ramadan crescent moon will be born at 11:02 am (Cairo time) on 29th Shaaban, March 10, according to the results of the institute's latest astronomical studies.
The Islamic holy month of fasting will begin in Egypt on March 11, Monday, lasting for 30 days.
Al Kady added that the newborn crescent moon will be visible in the skies of Cairo for 12 minutes after sunset, in addition, it will be visible in the skies of Mecca for 14 minutes after sunset.
