Raghad, the daughter of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein held the US responsible for the terrorist movements in Iraq, as a result of the invasion that toppled her father in 2003.
"On the anniversary of the occupation of Iraq, this fateful day that produced all the extremist terrorist movements, killing, leaving and ripping apart Iraqi society, that so-called democracy that wreaked havoc in the land and harmed every value in the world," Raghad said on Twitter, on the occasion of nearly two decades since the American war in Iraq.
"Today we see many examples of their satisfactory and failed plans, and we see what happened in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and above all in Iraq, where they demonstrated their barbaric power in order to frighten the region." She added.
"What we see today from the beginning of an Arab awakening to what is happening around them has given us hope that the next one for the region will be better," she said.
