On Tuesday, international organizations and the US government began to investigate serious evidence proving Qatar’s involvement in smuggling drones to the Houthis in Yemen.

US national security researcher and international expert on Yemeni affairs, Arena Tsukerman, revealed that she saw reliable evidence indicating that Qatar increased the rate of supplying the Houthi militia with drones in violation of Security Council Law 2216, which prohibits the transfer of weapons to Yemen.

Tsukerman indicated that the clues presented by US contractors are related to members of the close circle of Al Thani, which finances and provides drones for the terrorist Houthi militia to fuel violence in the country that has been in the throes of war for 6 years.

According to Tsukerman, among the evidence presented are bank accounts, participating lawyers, shell companies, and spies that Qatar has recruited to work for the Houthi militia.

"I had the opportunity to examine the evidence and meet those who are involved, and accordingly, the role of members of the royal family in Qatar in transporting and financing drones for the Houthi militia cannot be denied," she stressed.

According to the international expert, the evidence is very dangerous, and the aforementioned persons involved are willing to cooperate and provide testimonies in an independent international investigation, as well as cooperation with the US federal government.

The expert continued that an international organization and the US federal government have launched investigations into the information provided, showing that the situation is very dangerous and that the concerns about the direct role of the Al-Thani family in financing and arming the Houthi militia are increasing.

Also, she explained that there is evidence of Qatar’s support to Houthi leaders and that there are direct contacts between the militias, Iran and Qatar.

Moreover, she pointed out that Doha opposed any serious effort to hold the Houthi militia responsible for the attacks on Saudi Arabia, stood by Tehran on a variety of regional security issues. It is also opposed to Washington's designation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization.

She stated that Qatar and its allies are taking local control of Yemeni areas through arms and militias and attacking the Arab coalition forces directly, and confusing the ranks of the Yemeni army and the joint Yemeni forces opposing the Houthi coup.

She concluded that Doha also uses information war and misleading rumours to spread discord among the combat brigades associated with the coalition to turn against each other and pert the course of the pivotal battle against the Houthi coup.
