The Qatar Football Association has announced the postponement of all its competitions starting Sunday and until further notice, citing the rapid escalation of events currently unfolding across the Arab region.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the association confirmed that new dates for the postponed tournaments and matches will be announced later through its official communication channels.
Qatar is not the first country to take such a step in response to the recent developments. The Lebanese Football Association had earlier announced the suspension of its competitions, followed by similar decisions from the Kuwait Football Association and the Bahrain Football Association.
The region has witnessed escalating tensions over the past several hours, with growing instability and heightened concerns, and no clear signs of immediate stabilization.

“The Qatar Football Association announces the postponement of all championships, competitions, and matches starting today until further notice.
New dates for the resumption of competitions will be announced later through the association’s official channels. We pray to Almighty God to protect our country and preserve the blessings of security and safety.”
