Putin Pledges to Invest Trillion Rubles in Development of Drones

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that with the structural changes in the Russian armaments system, it is necessary to develop an industry of more advanced generations of unmanned aircraft (drones).

Putin said, during a presentation to organizations in the field of unmanned aircraft systems: "If we want structural changes, and we really want it, then, of course, we must focus all our efforts on ensuring the development of this promising industry, which has become one of the strengths during the current stage."

Putin explained that the drone industry is one of the most important areas in which Russia seeks to achieve breakthroughs in the next few years.

The Russian President indicated that drones are considered one of the most promising sectors, and in the future, the volume of investments in this industry will reach one trillion rubles.
