President Abdel Fattah El Sisi made an inspection tour of the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh on Monday.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said the tour covered checkpoints and security posts on the Sharm El Sheikh-Dahab-Ras-Mohamed road.

The president was posted on the safety measures and surveillance cameras on the road, the spokesman added.

Earlier today, President Sisi inaugurated the 38th World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city.
During the event, Secretary General of the International Telecommuication Union (ITU) Houlin Zhao presented the medal of the union to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in appreciation of his role in sponsoring the conference.

The event will run from October 28 through November 22.
More than 3,500 participants from 140 countries, and more than 50 ministers and deputy ministers from around the world are taking part in the conference, in addition to representatives of more than 50 companies and international organizations working in the field of telecommunications.
At least 1,000 specialized research papers will be discussed at the conference.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Telecom Egypt in cooperation with South Sinai Governorate.
The president said that the event reflects the progress and advancement of human civilization.
Zhao was pleased with progress made by the communications sector in Egypt, noting that Sisi's efforts also extended to upgrade IT in Africa.
