Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi supervised the preparations of relief equipment and humanitarian aid headed for Libya and Morocco, as per an announcement from the Egyptian presidency.

President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination between relevant Egyptian agencies concerning the provision of aid to these neighboring countries. He asserted that his primary concern is ensuring that all measures are taken to alleviate the existing calamities. "Whether it's rescue teams, relief squads, essential equipment, or shelter camps, all are significant for the affected regions," stated the President.

During a Tuesday meeting with the leaders of the armed forces on delivering assistance to Libya and Morocco, El-Sisi revealed, "We have seven aircraft ready to be dispatched. Given the extensive damages caused by the floods in Libya, we need to act promptly and to the best of our capabilities." He continued, "The data coming in demands we mobilize all our resources, and our military's capabilities are strong and ready."

In coordinating the relief efforts, the Egyptian President said, "We are liaising with the Libyan military to determine the fastest mode of entry, whether by land, sea, or air. We need to send engineering equipment and have been in touch with the commander of the western region. He suggests immediate actions are possible, but we need substantial support as our brethren are overwhelmed by their circumstances."

El-Sisi concluded his remarks by emphasizing the unity and capabilities of the Egyptian armed forces and expressing full confidence in the Egyptian people. "This modest effort is a symbolic gesture in response to the recent events, and as an act of solidarity, I decree a three-day mourning period in Egypt to empathize with the sorrows of our brethren."
