A few moments ago, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at the Nativity of Christ Cathedral to congratulate Coptic Christians on their Christmas.
He was warmly welcomed by Pope Tawadros II before he entered to Cathedral where he shook hands with dozens of worshipers, and received love letters from them.
Shortly, after interacting with the people inside the Cathedral, he stepped into the stage to deliver a short speech.
President El Sisi expressed his appreciation for Pope Tawadros and his morals.
He highlighted that Egyptian unity is strong, and religions are always in dialogue regardless of their differences.
Next, he pointed out the importance of the continuity of celebrating together, wishing a happy new year and merry Christmas to the whole world.
