Pečirović stressed the importance of the close relations between Cairo and Sarajevo, pointing out that in addition to the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, there is great cooperation between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina at the level of multilateral cooperation.

He pointed to the possibility of increasing trade exchange between Cairo and Sarajevo, saying: “His country has common borders with the European Union and this is a good opportunity for exports to enter the countries of the Union, and therefore Egyptian investors can benefit from this advantage.” He explained that his country has comparative advantages in sectors Specific aspects such as infrastructure, mining, timber, etc., and generating electrical energy from dams.

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina said: “We seek to develop concrete practical relations with Egyptian investors, and we would like to accelerate the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding that support further cooperation between the two countries in the fields of: education, science, culture and sports.” He expressed his support for the formation of a council. Pečirović expressed his country's desire to enhance the levels of cooperation between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of tourism, noting that this has already begun by operating more flights between a number of cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a group of Egyptian tourist destinations, stressing that Egypt is the destination. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the historical relations that bind Egypt with the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as Egypt was one of the first countries to recognize its independence and establish diplomatic relations with it by opening the embassy in Sarajevo in 1996.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European Council’s approval to open negotiations for Sarajevo’s accession to the European Union at the end of last March. He expressed his aspiration for Bosnia and Herzegovina to achieve the required progress on the path to joining the European Union in a way that supports stability in the Balkan region.

The Prime Minister also touched on trade relations between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he expressed Egypt’s hope to enhance the levels of trade exchange between the two countries. In this regard, he stressed the need to study new ways to deepen trade cooperation between Cairo and Sarajevo, and among these mechanisms is the proposal to form a joint business council. between the two countries and maintain its regular session.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism, especially after the launch of direct flights from Sarajevo and Banjaluka airports to Hurghada, effective May 6, 2022. He expressed his aspiration that the continuation of the direct flight line will lead to more cooperation in this important field.
