On Monday, President Abdel Fattah congratulated the Egyptian Copts and Christians on Christmas.

President El-Sisi stated on his official social media accounts: "To the great people of Egypt… the Coptic brothers and sisters… I am pleased to extend my sincerest greetings to you on the occasion of Christmas."

He added that celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, together is a reflection of the values of tolerance, fraternity, and the unity of the national fabric—an integral part of Egypt’s history and a defining characteristic of the Egyptian identity. Egypt will always remain a beacon of coexistence, unity, and love among its people of different faiths, under the honorable banner of belonging to this cherished homeland.

President El-Sisi concluded his message by saying: "Wishing you all a blessed year. I pray to Allah Almighty that this occasion brings more goodness, blessings, and prosperity to you and our beloved Egypt."
