On Friday, US President Joe Biden met the Prince of Wales, Prince William, on the sidelines of the prince's visit to the US for Earthshot Prize.
Prince William conducted his first overseas tour since holding the new title and being named as the Crown Prince of the UK.
The meeting was arranged after a diary change for Biden who was in Boston for a political fundraiser.
Biden is “hugely supportive” of the Royal family and was personally very keen to meet the Prince.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said they had a 30-minute meeting.
“It was a warm, friendly and substantive discussion,” the palace said.
“The President was keen to learn about the Prince’s Earthshot Prize and some of the stories from the finalists, including the Great Bubble Barrier, a 2022 finalist in the Revive Our Oceans category.
“The Prince also shared his global, long-term ambition for the prize.
“The Prince thanked [President Biden] for travelling to London for the late Queen’s funeral in September. They both shared warm memories of Her Majesty.”
This visit is the first of the Crown Prince to the US since 2014.
