On Tuesday, a power outage occurred throughout the entire city of Acre, located within the 1948 Palestinian territories.

The power outage in Acre coincides with large demonstrations in the occupied Palestinian territories, where protesters are demanding a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.

Earlier, the Israeli public broadcasting authority reported that Israeli military leaders had requested a four-week period from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to complete the current phase and then resume the military offensive in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.

This request was made during a security meeting held on Sunday, attended by Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, National Security Council Chairman Tzachi Hanegbi, and other military officials.

The broadcasting authority explained that the military asked for this time frame to complete the destruction of the remaining tunnels in Rafah. Military officials indicated that this period is necessary to achieve the set military objectives, which would allow Tel Aviv to cease fighting if necessary, either to initiate a new prisoner exchange deal or to take action in the north against the Lebanese Hezbollah.

During the meeting, military leaders presented the progress made so far in the military operations in Gaza, demonstrating that significant military achievements could justify a pause in fighting if Tel Aviv deems it necessary.

Netanyahu expressed his admiration for the achievements and emphasized the importance of keeping government ministers informed of the developments. Despite the progress made, the Israeli military stressed that the war would not be declared over until all captives held by Hamas are recovered.

This report reflects the current situation and challenges faced by Tel Aviv in its military operations in Gaza and highlights the strategies and political decisions being made to ensure the achievement of security goals.
