In an interview with the Spanish newspaper ABC published today, Sunday, Pope Francis said that he believes that the conflict in Ukraine is a "world war" and will not end in the near future.
Pope added: "Soon, the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, will send to us one of his religious advisors, for the third time."
He noted that he receives representatives of Ukraine, and provides assistance.
Pope Francis added, "I do not see an end [to the conflict] in the short term because what is going on is a world war."
According to him, "There are indeed several hands involved in this war".
